How Bénin Tourisme collects, processes and protects your personal data on the JISTNA website, in accordance with the Digital Code of the Republic of Benin.
Bénin Tourisme, publisher of the JISTNA website (International Day of Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition), takes the protection of personal data very seriously. It is based on Article 415 of Book Five of the Digital Code of the Republic of Benin relating to the Protection of Personal Data.
By submitting the contact form, you accept the terms of this policy. It may be updated from time to time.
1. Scope
This policy applies only to data collected through the site’s contact form. It does not cover third-party services this site may link to (social media, etc.).

3. Data collected
The contact form collects:
- Full name
- Email address
- Subject and content of your message
Your IP address is also used temporarily (up to 1 hour) to prevent automated submissions (anti-spam), and is not associated with your message.
4. Purpose and legal basis for processing
Your data is used solely to respond to your message (question, partnership request, press accreditation, etc.). The legal basis for processing is your consent, expressed by voluntarily submitting the form.
No sensitive personal data is collected. Your data is never used for marketing or prospecting purposes.
5. Retention period
Your data is kept for a maximum of 12 months from the date of your message, after which it is deleted.
6. Recipients and storage location
Your data is accessible only to the JISTNA organizing team. A copy of your message is forwarded to the official address contact@jistna.bj for processing, and stored on our hosting provider’s servers.
7. Data security
The site implements technical measures to protect your data: encrypted connection (HTTPS), protection against automated submissions (rate limiting), and access to received messages restricted to site administrators.
8. Your rights
In accordance with the Digital Code of the Republic of Benin, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, and to object to its processing. Details of these rights are available on the APDP website: service.apdp.bj/actualites/mes_droits.

9. Cookies
